Sugarland Wrap ‘CMA Country Christmas’ Special With ‘Silent Night’
After all of her wild outfit changes throughout the 'CMA Country Christmas' event, it was a little bit of a let down to see Jennifer Nettles dressed down when the Sugarland duo took the stage for their starring performance of 'Silent Night.'
We got over it quickly, of course, given their chilling rendition of everyone's favorite Christmas classic, and to be fair, the singer/special host did shine in a pair of glittery pants. She and Kristian Bush owned the second-to-last song of the not-so-silent night; while she sang half of the tune in another language (we think it was French, possibly Italian), her counterpart stood softly beside her, providing his usual instrumental accompaniment. Behind them stood a generously lit, Rockefeller Center-sized Christmas tree.
But of course, it's couldn't be a real country music special without a glowing encore -- all of the evening's artists came to the stage to close out the show, officially, with a group performance of 'Jingle Bells.'
